Walking is much more than the motor act that is necessary for us. Started and taken for granted, until it fails. It is enough to go back to the ancient aphorism rediscovered by Miguel de Unamuno, "the goal is built by walking" to understand that - for millennia - this human faculty has been attributed with other meanings.
For this reason, when the consciousness of existence appeared, walking assumed an ontological value. It was and remains the most emblematic mythical narrative, constitutive, of the dimension of being as becoming, of perceiving oneself alive, still active, willing to change direction basing oneself solely on one's own body. Life as a road, with a beginning and an end, was its rudimentary further representation. It is useless, therefore, to try to oppose - the first walkers had to think - a law dictated by unknown powers that impose on the human horde to atone for its faults always wander. Stories, legends and fairy tales also show us that walking is not just for the hero's purpose. Discover the reasons for so much trouble: this is his true reward. In all traditions, walking was therefore a symbol of an inevitable destiny. Along the way you fall, you get up, you go back, you have miraculous encounters, you are helped by Samaritans or deceived by demons. Never giving up the solitary motion relying on one's lower limbs - it turns out - even the mind regenerates.
I started this project in 2015, and with it I pushed to ask for more, I have accumulated many experiences, and I know many people, it's my story, but also many others, I like to see it like that, these photos remind me that there is always something to discover, to appreciate. A philosophy that has helped me overcome many difficult moments and that has strengthened the depths of my being.
